Steinbeis Romania partner in “Romania Eficienta” project

Steinbeis Romania is supporting “Romania Eficienta” project. We are partner of Energy Policy Group in promoting energy efficiency through the biggest initiative of national interest which is also privately financed.

România Eficientă was launched in summer of 2019 and consists of unfolding of a national multiannual program in order to promote energy efficiency. Project will end in 2022. Purpose of the project is to contribute to achieving targets assigned to Romania in order to reduce CO2 emissions and increasing energy efficiency till 2030.

Guiding concept is that applying simple measures of energy efficiency, consumption in old buildings could be reduced with 40%.

Project is sponsored by OMW Petrom and it is the biggest private funded initiative from Romania that is of national interest.

Steinbeis Network in Romania expressed interest to contribute with best practice examples from Germany, facilitate contacts and come with Learning Energy Efficiency Networks (LEEN) as model to be applied in companies.

Furthermore think-thanks like Energy Policy Group will be invited to contribute to new project financed by Baden – Wuertemburg Land Foundation aimed to seed entrepreneurial mindset to highschool pupils. Energy efficiency will be in the pool of recommended subjects for European Early Innovators Business Plan Contest.
